Although our modifications are the best in the industry and we offer our Lifetime all region guarantee, we are so confident that our pricing is better than any legitimate competitor that we will not only match it, we will beat it by 10% off the difference to thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Play Any DVD on Any Normal USA (NTSC) TV Guaranteed. No special TV required

Please note that many people sell these players cheaper with inferior Pal to NTSC converters. We can not match their prices.

Please note that many vendors are offering the same model players with different modifications. Our modifications are 100% future proof, and provide an excellent picture quality with the highest built in Pal to NTSC converters.

Your next question is probably going to be: "What difference does it make if I have a 8mb Pal to NTSC converter or a 12 or even a 16MB converter?  That is probably the single most important thing you need to look at when purchasing a Code Free DVD Player that converts. You need to be very careful when comparing models, as all Code Free DVD Players / Region Free DVD Players are modified to be code free and convert. If the company you purchase from doesn't offer a lifetime guarantee like we do and doesn't say how many MB there video converters are you may not be comparing apples to apples. When purchasing a player from us you can rest assured that we use the highest quality of parts for our modifications, and we guarantee them for life.  Pal is the standard of broadcasting used in almost all the countries except for North America. Therefore if you are looking to view DVD movies from another country in the USA there are most likely to be in the Pal format. Therefore you will need the DVD player to convert the Pal Signal to NTSC. The amount of (Megabits) MB used in the converter determines how your picture will look when you are playing movies that are Pal on your NTSC (North American) standard TV. We normally recommend at least a 8MB video converter.  If your TV is less than 27" big usually a 8mb or 10MB converter is enough to get a good picture quality.  For TVs that are 27"- 34" we normally recommend at least a 12MB video converter. And for all HD tv's, and Large screen TVs over 34" we recommend a 14MB or more video converter.  If you are picky about the picture quality, going with a  14MB video converter will never hurt no matter how small your TV is.  If you have a newer HDTV with DVI or HDMI inputs, please also look at dvd players on our main page with HDMI or DVI outputs to give you the best picture quality.

Also the JVC players offer one of the best built in Pal->NTSC converters available. This player offers fantastic Audio and Video quality and at this low price of almost 50% off, it is the Best Value in a Code Free DVD Player. This player was normally sold at $399 and more after the code free modification.... At $229 it is a no Brainer. Overall this top of the Line JVC is an excellent quality, HIGH END dvd player that will play any disc on an NTSC (American) TV. It also has an excellent built in Pal to NTSC converter. Unlike many DVD players with a built in converter, this DVD player will not stretch Pal widescreen DVD movies when playing on an NTSC TV.

This attractive progressive scan player is a solid HIGH END Player at a very affordable price for those looking for more then entry level in a dvd player.  The progressive scan technology generates a noticeably better picture on compatible HDTVs, but the player is compatible with any regular analog set, too. It's got an extensive range of playable media, and a good jack setup on the rear panel, with RCA,  S-video, component video, Coaxial, and Optical outputs. Best of all this player is extremely easy to hook up, and allows you to play any region ,0,1,2,3,4,5,6... DVD discs guaranteed. With it's built in 14 MB Pal to NTSC video converter, foreign movies can easily be played on a normal USA Standard (NTSC) Television. All you have to do is insert the disc and press play, no fancy codes to remember, and 100% lifetime guaranteed to be region and code free.

A pair of playback features put the machine over the top: 3-D Phonic sound, which lets the user set a built-in equalizer to their liking, or choose from a trio of presets: action, drama, and theater. Secondly, a Video Fine Processor (VFP) makes for similar control over the picture qualities. The user can either adjust the gamma, brightness, saturation, et al (and save the configuration), or choose from preset modes.

These features translate for a complete stand-alone unit that does not rely on a mass of remotes for detailed control. The playback features are solid, with a top scan speed of 60X, slow-motion down to 1/32X, a six-step zoom (including 1.8X zoom that zaps the black bars on widescreen discs), and easy-to-use yet comprehensive menus. A quick playback feature allows for a 1.5X playback with video and audio, a nice way to pinpoint the dialogue where one left off. CD playback is normal, programmable, or random. The remote is contoured for a nice grip and includes a dimmer switch for the display on the unit's face.

TRUE HARDWARE Digital Cinema Progressive SCAN:  True Hardware Digital Progressive scan is hard to find on most new generation of dvd players. While manufactures are trying to use parts that allow them to reduce costs, most started substituting a Hardware progressive scan chip with a software one.  True Hardware Progresive scan with 3/2 pulldown provides a much better picture quality and less artifacts than the software progressive scan on many new dvd players. True Hardware Progressive Scan component video output allows the highest quality signal to be sent from your DVD player to your TV. When this connection is utilized, typical artifacts (like video noise and dot crawl) are virtually eliminated, resulting in a low-noise, highly detailed picture with unequaled color purity. Digital Cinema Progressive (3:2 Pulldown) delivers the smoothest, most film-like images to any progressive scan television, such as an HD-compatible one, and ensures maximum resolution.

Code free / Region free:
This dvd player is modified to play all region discs. With this dvd player you can play your favorite movies from any country.

PAL playback on NTSC TV:
This is a special feature available on very few DVD players. Most other region free players will play back all region discs but if the disc is Pal you will not be able to play it on a normal American (NTSC) TV. This dvd player will play any disc on an NTSC (American) TV.
Unlike many DVD players with a built in converter, this DVD player will not stretch Pal widescreen DVD movies when playing on an NTSC TV. The 14 MB video converter in this unit is better than a external unit that costs more then this entire player. This player allows you to output the picture with digital component cables rather then just RCA and S-Video cables used in video converters.

Progressive Scan:

Progressive-scan picture quality is more film-like, with more fine detail and less flicker. This DVD player may be set to output a progressive scan or interlaced video signal from component video output. Instead of splitting each video frame into two sequential fields like interlaced scan, progressive scan displays the entire frame in a single sweep. Where a standard DVD player's 480i output displays 30 frames (60 fields) per second, a progressive-scan player's 480p output displays 60 full frames per second.

MP3 Player
Yes, for the music lovers. You can record hours of music on one disc and play it in this dvd player. Hundreds of songs can fit on cd-rom in the MP3 format. You can now hook this up to your music system and listen to hours of music all from one disc.

Variable Aspect Ratios
This CODE FREE Progressive scan  DVD PLAYER  will output video in   4:3, letterbox and 16:9 aspect ratios.

Camera Angles
Scenes that make up a movie may be shot from multiple camera angles, each providing a unique perspective of the program. DVD will allow, at the director's discretion, up to nine different camera angles to be recorded on a disc, enabling the viewer to select the angle they desire. This option will add interactivity to movies, sporting events and instructional videos.

Multi-Language
This feature allows up to eight different audio tracks to be mastered on a single DVD The user than can select the language track that suits their preferences

High-Bit/High Sampling Video D/A Converter: This player uses a 10-bit/54MHz video digital-to-analog converter, which reduces digital artifacts for a better picture.

Scanning Mode Switch: This switch, located on the rear panel, allows you to choose whether the component video output is progressive scan (480p) or interlaced scan (480i). When you position the switch to the "Remote" position, you can choose progressive scan or interlaced scan from the remote control.

Although the front panel display will not show file names, the file names can be shown using the on-screen display.  During MP3 playback, rapid forward/reverse playback is not available, tracks cannot be played back in random or programmed order, and the unit does not output a digital audio signal from the digital outputs.

JPEG Digital Still Playback: This DVD player will playback JPEG digital still files that are on CD-R or CD-RW discs. Like MP3 files, the CD-R and CD-RW discs must be recorded using the ISO 9660 format. While viewing JPEG digital stills, you can zoom in or out on an image, or present them in a slide show fashion. Note: This unit will only recognize baseline JPEG files, which is the format used by digital cameras, camcorders, the web, etc. If you have a disc that contains both MP3 and JPEG files, you have to choose which files you want to work with by going into the menu select and choosing either "MP3" or "JPEG".

USER 1 and USER 2 have the following adjustable parameters that can be stored:

  • Gamma (Controls the brightness of neutral tints while maintaining the brightness of dark and bright portions)
  • Brightness
  • Contrast
  • Saturation (Controls the color depth of the screen)
  • Tint
  • Sharpness
  • Y Delay (Controls the color gap of the screen)

One Touch Replay: During playback of a DVD-Video disc, you can press the Play button to repeat the previous 10 seconds of the current scene or chapter. This is helpful if you miss a line of dialog or lyric from a song and want a quick way to repeat a short section.

Disc Resume/Resume Play: This feature allows you to resume playback of a disc from the point where you last stopped. The stopping point will be saved even if the power is turned off. When activated, the Disc Resume memory can store the resume point for up to 30 discs.

Repeat Play: The "Repeat A-B" function allows you to select any portion of a DVD, Video CD or Audio CD and have it repeat until the unit is manually stopped. When playing a DVD, you can repeat the current title or the current chapter. When playing a Video CD or an Audio CD, you can repeat the current track or the entire disc.

Fast Search: There are five fast-play speeds in both forward and reverse: 2X, 5X, 10X, 20X and 60X the normal speed.

Slow Motion: When playing a DVD or Video CD, you may move forward or backward through the program being played in one of six slow motion speeds: 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2 the normal speed.

Parental Lock: This function restricts playback of DVD Video discs which contain violent and other types of content, according to the level set by the user. For example, if a movie containing violent scenes supports the parental lock feature, such scenes can be cut or replaced with other scenes. You can select a parental control rating from 0-8, which is protected by a 4-digit password. Discs rated higher than the selected level are restricted.

Digital Audio Output: You can select what kind of signal is passed through the unit's digital outputs. You can select PCM only, Stream/PCM (used when connecting the unit to a component with both DTS and Dolby Digital decoding) or Dolby Digital/PCM (used when connecting this unit to a component with Dolby Digital decoding, but no DTS decoder).

Screen Saver: The unit's screen saver protects against screen burnout by darkening the picture after a static picture is displayed for approximately 5 minutes. This function can be turned on or off through the menu.

Auto Standby: The unit will go into standby mode when it is not being operated or it is sitting in stop mode for a selectable amount of time. You can choose 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or turn the Auto Standby mode off.

Remote Control: The supplied remote controls all the functions of this DVD player, and the basic functions of several brands of TVs. It can also raise and lower the volume of most JVC receivers.

A/V Compu Link: When connected to a JVC receiver and/or television with A/V Compu Link, the components will communicate to each other via the control cable. Automatic source selection and automatic power on/off are some of the benefits of A/V Compu Link. By simply starting the DVD player, all the necessary settings of the television and/or receiver for enjoying playback are automatically performed.

I can finally play my movies from back home!!!  OCT 16, 2005

Reviewer: (Chicago, IL USA)

Plays all my Region 2 and region 4 movies. Pal or NTSC doesn't matter. Quality is great on American region 1 movies, and region 2 movies. I can't tell the difference.

This dvd player and company rocks. This is the second player I bought from this company!!  I hate writting reviews, so I copy pasted my last review here.

I normally don't write reviews, but I want everyone to know about my very strange experience. I was looking for a good quality inexpensive region free dvd player. I saw this same exact model number on another website bargain something, there invoice came as popular electronics or something.. It was much cheaper there... It looked good so I purchased it. When I received it, It played a Pal Movie from the UK and it played, but the picture was distorted. I called the company up, and they never came on the phone. I emailed them, and they were dead beats. I then called this website Regioncodefreedvd.com, and they explained to me that they modify the players, and the built in converters in their players are different... and how the same model number player can be different depending on where it is purchased. So I took the risk and bought it. They guaranteed me that if I purchased the player from them and if I get a distorted picture they would give me my money back. I tried it and it works perfectly. Since then I bought 2 more players from them, a JVC XV-NP10s and a Samsung HD-941 Version 2.  I didn't believe that the same model number player can be different at different companies. But it is, becasue they do something to these players to make them play all different region pal movies. My sales guy was NIck, if you guys have questions ask for him. Unlike the other company these people actually come on the phone, and know there products.
